With over five million albums sold and more than a billion views on YouTube, Magic System has long since transcended the status of a mere band. Hailing from Abidjan, the collective has helped to spread zouglou far beyond its place of origin, blending it with pop sounds and lyrics designed for instant sharing.
Songs such as ‘Premier Gaou’, ‘Bouger Bouger’ and ‘Magic in the Air’ have carved out a unique place for themselves: they are tracks capable of making their mark in stadiums, at public festivals and on international stages alike, regardless of age or context.
Thirty years on from their debut, the band continues to act as a meeting point between generations. Their anniversary tour does not seek to re-enact the past, but to breathe new life into it. The show at the LDLC Arena is part of this dynamic: a concert conceived as a flow of energy, where the set list becomes common ground rather than a static retrospective.
