A timeless icon of the French music scene, Vanessa Paradis marks her grand return with *Le Retour des beaux jours*, her eighth album, released on 10 October 2025. After several years devoted to film and theatre, she has returned to music and rediscovered the joy of creating in the studio, surrounded by her long-standing collaborators.
For this project, she has teamed up with Étienne Daho and Jean-Louis Piérot, amongst others, with whom she has forged a natural and elegant artistic chemistry. Together, they have crafted a luminous album that is both intimate and deeply musical.
*Le Retour des beaux jours* unfolds a rich and organic soundscape, where 60s and 70s soul, retro grooves, folk textures and subtle hints of contemporary influences come together. Certain nuances even evoke subtle hip-hop sounds, skilfully integrated into a polished production.
Each track explores a balance between light and melancholy: bursts of dance and joy sit alongside more contemplative moments, centred on memory, love and the passing of time. Vanessa Paradis’s voice comes across as fragile, precise and deeply grounded.
The album was crafted with particular care, featuring a line-up of discerning musicians and recorded in iconic venues such as the legendary Abbey Road Studios and Motorbass Studio. These settings help to give the record a warm, cinematic feel.
With *Le Retour des beaux jours*, Vanessa Paradis has created a project that is at once classic and modern, intimate and open, in which every detail seems designed to allow emotions to breathe.
