For her only stop in Lyon on The Lifetimes Tour, Katy Perry transformed the LDLC Arena into a truly futuristic and immersive pop wonderland. In front of 12,950 spectators, the American artist delivered a spectacular show lasting over two hours, combining musical performances, ambitious stage design and impressive visual effects. From the moment she appeared on stage, levitating against a backdrop inspired by space and video games, the singer set the tone for an evening of entertainment and extravagance.

True to her reputation, Katy Perry delivered one spectacular visual spectacle after another: aerial choreography, monumental sets, immersive projections and spectacular staging followed one after another throughout the concert. Soaring above the audience in the pit, moving through suspended structures or even within digital worlds projected onto the venue’s giant screens, the artist constantly pushed the boundaries of live performance to deliver a unique and thoroughly immersive experience.

As for the set list, the Lyon audience sang along in unison to the American star’s biggest hits. Classics such as ‘Roar’, ‘California Gurls’, ‘Teenage Dream’, ‘Dark Horse’, ‘ Hot N Cold’ and ‘Firework’ rang out across the arena, sparking collective excitement with every track. Fans were also treated to several surprises during the evening, notably thanks to songs chosen interactively by the audience. The highlight of the Lyon show was the world premiere of ‘Bandaids’, a previously unreleased track that Katy Perry chose to unveil for the very first time at the LDLC Arena.

Beyond the artistic performance, it was also the artist’s closeness to her audience that left a lasting impression. Through anecdotes, spontaneous exchanges and plenty of humour, Katy Perry engaged with the audience time and again, even going so far as to invite several fans onto the stage to share a special moment. In a warm and festive atmosphere, she repeatedly praised the energy of the Lyon audience, even going so far as to say they were among the best in the world.

Combining emotion, spectacle and a sense of connection with her fans, this date on The Lifetimes Tour will go down as one of the highlights of the season at the LDLC Arena. It was a colourful evening that confirmed Katy Perry’s ability to blend musical performance with a genuine, large-scale entertainment experience.
