Shaka Ponk
On 2 and 3 February 2024, as part of their farewell tour, *The Final Fucked Up Tour*, Shaka Ponk set the LDLC Arena alight in front of an audience of over 26,000. With their boundless energy, spectacular stage design and close connection with the audience, the band delivered two memorable evenings that will go down as some of the season’s standout moments.

As part of *The Final Fucked Up Tour*, Shaka Ponk took to the stage at the LDLC Arena for two exceptional evenings on 2 and 3 February 2024, attracting a total of over 26,000 spectators. These were two particularly significant dates for the band’s fans, as they formed part of what was announced as Shaka Ponk’s final tour, bringing to a close a career spanning more than twenty years, characterised by a unique blend of rock, electronic music and extraordinary live performances.
From the very first minutes, the atmosphere proved every bit as good as the occasion warranted. Carried along by the infectious energy of Frah, Samaha Sam and the entire band, the audience were treated to an intense and generous concert, true to the band’s identity. Spectacular lighting effects, immersive visual projections and meticulous stage design complemented a powerful performance, in which every track seemed to resonate as a celebration of the band’s journey and their bond with their audience.
As the evening wore on, Shaka Ponk revisited the hits that have marked their career. Iconic tracks such as ‘My Name Is Stain’, ‘I’m Picky’, ‘Wanna Get Free’ and ‘Let’s Bang’ were sung along to in unison by an electric crowd in the Arena. The energy radiating from the stage spread throughout the venue, transforming each concert into a true celebration of togetherness between the band and their fans.
The connection with the audience was, in fact, a central feature of these two shows in Lyon. True to their reputation, the members of Shaka Ponk engaged frequently with the crowd, readily coming down as close as possible to the audience and venturing into the pit to share special moments with their fans. This direct, spontaneous and genuine connection further heightened the emotion that was already palpable throughout the concert.
Combining rock power, emotion and a party atmosphere, these two evenings at the LDLC Arena perfectly illustrated what has made Shaka Ponk so successful for over two decades: extraordinary stage energy, bold visual creativity and a unique connection with their audience. Two intense concerts that will go down as one of the highlights of the band’s farewell tour and the LDLC Arena’s 2024 season.
