World Rock Day: a celebration that echoes right through to the LDLC Arena!
13 July 2026
The day rock ‘n’ roll rocked the world
Every year, 13 July marks World Rock Day. This date pays tribute to the legendary Live Aid concert, held on 13 July 1985 simultaneously in London and Philadelphia. More than just a concert, this global event brought together the greatest artists of the time to raise funds to combat famine in Ethiopia, proving that rock music can also be the catalyst for a tremendous outpouring of solidarity.
Of the bands performing that day, Judas Priest made a lasting impression with an explosive performance at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia. The British band performed several of their iconic tracks, including ‘Living After Midnight’, ‘The Green Manalishi (With the Two Prong Crown)’ and ‘You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’’, in front of millions of television viewers around the world.
Forty-one years on, the band continues to thrill audiences on stages all over the world… and the LDLC Arena is no exception, with a performance scheduled for 14 September 2026.
Rock has never left the scene
Since it opened, the LDLC Arena has hosted the biggest names in rock and metal, treating audiences to evenings where the artists’ energy meets that of a crowd always ready to sing, jump and raise their fists.
From tomorrow, 14 July 2026, the venue will welcome one of the most iconic bands in rock history: the Scorpions.
The next chapter of the story will be written at the LDLC Arena in 2026
On 15 November, Deep Purple will turn a new page in this great history with their legendary tracks – those songs that are instantly recognisable from the very first notes and which have accompanied so many generations. A few days later, on 23 November, Placebo will bring another era back to life – one of emotionally charged guitar riffs and choruses that defined the 1990s and 2000s. On 30 November, Bryan Adams will take the audience on a trip down memory lane with his ballads and anthems that have become timeless classics, before Papa Roach, on 6 December, bring the 2026 chapter to a close with all the energy of a generation raised on their iconic tracks.
At the LDLC Arena, we celebrate all the stories that rock music has inspired. A range of artists from different eras, yet with a shared aim: to rediscover the songs that have shaped our lives. Because rock is more than just music; it’s a collective memory that continues to resonate, night after night, at the LDLC Arena.
One thing is certain: at the LDLC Arena, rock music is, and always will be, right at home.

LDLC Arena. Live and much more!
